Travis Kelce has reworked his deal with the Chiefs, moving $3 million from future years into this year as reported by ESPN senior NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler.
Fantasy Impact: The $3 million comes from a combination of $1 million in base salary and $2 million in 53-man roster bonuses. The rework brings his 2022 base salary to $10.5 million and Kelce is still under contract in Kansas City until 2025. Kelce finished 2021 with 92 receptions for 1,125 yards and nine touchdowns and should see even more targets than last year’s 132 with the offseason loss of Tyreek Hill to Miami. Kelce remains fantasy TE1/1A with Baltimore’s Mark Andrews and should be targeted early at a position that is perennially notoriously shallow.
