This isn’t a list of the best players for Week 14, but our FanDuel picks will give you the best bang for your buck.
FanDuel Dollar Menu – Weekly Value Picks
Alright, alright, you got me, none of these players actually cost a dollar. What they are is a list of players that provide excellent value for you each week in FanDuel contests. You know, the same way that the dollar menu at your favorite fast food restaurant provides you with a meal that may not be gourmet but it fills you up without breaking the bank. Again, this is not a list of the best players each week, this is a list of the players that offer the best bang for your buck.
This week I am doing something a little different, I am going to give you the EXTRA value picks. What that means is that for all positions, other than QB, the players price will be less than $6,000.
With that being said, these are my FanDuel Week 14 EXTRA value plays.

QB: Andrew Luck ($7,900, IND @ HOU)
Andrew Luck and the Colts laid an egg in their Week 13 contest against the Jaguars. They failed to score a point and it was Luck’s worst performance of the season. Prior to that, he had scored more than 22 FanDuel points in each of the previous eight games with three or more touchdowns in each of those games. He will likely rebound against the 18th ranked pass defense of the Texans, who have allowed 300+ passing yards to Baker Mayfield and Marcus Mariota in consecutive weeks. The opportunity to get Luck for less than $8,000 will likely not come again this season.
Additional Value Pick: Tom Brady ($7,500, NE @ MIA) is tied for 14th as far as QB prices go this week on FanDuel. He is clearly not having his most productive fantasy season this year but he is hard to pass up this week against the 29th overall defense of the Miami Dolphins that allowed Josh Allen to score over 30 FanDuel points one week ago.

RB: Jeff Wilson Jr. ($5,600, DEN @ SF)
This is the time of the season that injuries are beginning to pile up and new faces are getting increased opportunities. That will be the case for many of my remaining picks this week, including 49ers rookie Jeff Wilson Jr. Wilson will be in the spotlight after filling in very well following Matt Breida’s injury during Week 13 at Seattle. He totaled 15.4 FanDuel points with 61 rushing yards and eight catches for 73 receiving yards. He will be looking to expose a Broncos defense that has struggled to stop the run this season and currently sits at 25th overall.
RB: Jaylen Samuels ($4,600, PIT @ OAK)
Jaylen Samuels is another rookie that will be thrust into a prominent role this Sunday due to injury. James Conner has been ruled out leaving the door open for Samuels to show what he can do. It sounds as though he will be sharing the workload with veteran Stevan Ridley, but Samuels provides the most upside in a matchup against the lowly Raiders defense. At NC State, Samuels played an H-back hybrid position that allowed him to be utilized in the passing game frequently. This has transitioned well to the NFL as he has caught two touchdowns in the last four games. He will see a high percentage of ownership in most formats this week but at $4,600 he is hard to pass up.
Additional Value Pick: Justin Jackson ($4,500 CIN @ LAC) rounds out my trio of rookie running backs for the week. Everyone, including me, was very high on Austin Ekeler last week in the absence of Melvin Gordon. Ekeler struggled to get anything going at all and Jackson came in and looked to be the better runner. He ended with 82 total yards and a touchdown on nine touches. I fully expect the Chargers to play it safe with Gordon this week as the league’s worst defense visits, resulting in more carries for Jackson with potential for very good production.
WR: Dante Pettis ($5,500, DEN @ SF)
49ers receiver Dante Pettis has turned 14 targets into 42.9 FanDuel points over the past two weeks. He has clearly gained the trust of quarterback Nick Mullens and has caught all three of Mullens’s passing touchdowns in those two weeks. The Broncos visit Levi’s Stadium this week without Chris Harris Jr., which leaves them very thin and inexperienced at cornerback. Mullens and Pettis should continue this streak of recent success in Santa Clara on Sunday.
WR: Golden Tate ($5,700, PHI @ DAL)
Golden Tate is quickly becoming one of Carson Wentz’s favorite targets. Over the past three weeks Tate has received 23 targets, most recently catching seven of seven for 85 yards and a score against the Redskins. This week the Eagles travel to Jerry World in Dallas to see if they can do what Drew Brees and the Saints struggled to do last week. Though the Dallas defense has been extremely stout and playing with confidence, I expect Wentz to find Tate early and often in this contest. At $5,700 the return on investment is great for Tate.
Additional Value Pick: Courtland Sutton ($5,600, DEN @ SF) had a quick promotion from third to first in the Broncos receiver pecking order. After the trade of Demaryius Thomas and the recent injury to Emmanuel Sanders, Sutton finds himself as the go-to-guy in Denver. He is coming off of his best game as a pro, catching four passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. His target share should increase significantly going forward, meaning potential for even more success.
TE: David Njoku ($5,300, CAR @ CLE)
David Njoku has continued to accumulate targets in the Browns offense, even though Baker Mayfield has been spreading the ball around more effectively recently. The athletic tight end is ninth in the league in targets among tight ends this season and just two weeks ago he turned those targets into 14.8 FanDuel points. The emergence of the running game of Nick Chubb will help pull up the linebackers and allow Njoku to work the middle of the field more effectively against the 22nd ranked pass defense of the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
Additional Value Pick: Ian Thomas ($4,900 CAR @ CLE) will attempt to fill the big shoes of Greg Olson since his placement on IR. Thomas came in and caught five of five targets for 46 yards one week ago and he figures to be heavily involved in a favorable matchup against the 29th ranked pass defense of the Cleveland Browns.
DEF: Giants ($3,500 @ WAS)
The Giants have forced nine turnovers and scored two defensive touchdowns in their last four games. They now get to face a quarterback in Mark Sanchez that no one predicted would be making an NFL start ever again. The disappointing Eagles defense held the Redskins to just 13 points last week, most of which came on an improbable 90-yard touchdown run by Adrian Peterson. The Giants provide excellent value and could be one of the top scoring defenses for a second consecutive week.
Additional Value Pick: Bills ($4,200 vs NYJ) The Bills are the second-best overall defense in the league and the Jets are the 30th ranked offense in the league. That is a very simple equation to figure out and since the Bills offense has progressed, it has only helped the defense. They should provide excellent return for $4,200 this week.
