This isn’t a list of the best players for Week 12, but our FanDuel value plays will give you the best bang for your buck.
FanDuel Dollar Menu – Weekly Value Picks
Alright, alright, you got me, none of these players actually cost a dollar. What they are is a list of players that provide excellent value for you each week in FanDuel contests. You know, the same way that the dollar menu at your favorite fast food restaurant provides you with a meal that may not be gourmet but it fills you up without breaking the bank. Again, this is not a list of the best players each week, this is a list of the players that offer the best bang for your buck.
With that being said, these are my FanDuel value plays for Week 12.

QB: Nick Mullens ($6,000, SF @ TB)
Nick Mullens will get another start under center at Tampa in Week 12. In the first two starts of his young career he has looked the part of an NFL quarterback. Mullens has completed 70 percent of his passes and has thrown for 250 yards or more in each of the contests for an average of 17.1 FanDuel points. This week he will travel to Tampa where he will see the 28th ranked pass defense of the Buccaneers. The Bucs defense has struggled and they have allowed a league-most 25 touchdowns this season to go along with 282 passing yards per game. Mullens is the cheapest quarterback this week but he offers solid upside in this game, making him an incredible value.
Additional Value Pick: Baker Mayfield ($7,500, CLE @ CIN) and the Browns are looking to keep the momentum rolling from last week’s big win over the Atlanta Falcons where Mayfield was near perfect. He completed 17 of 20 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns on his way to 22.64 FanDuel points. The league-worst defense of the Bengals awaits this week, meaning plenty of opportunity for the Browns offense to score.
RB: Sony Michel ($6,600, NE @ NYJ)
Sony Michel would likely rather forget his Week 10 return against the Tennessee Titans, as he was only able to muster 31 yards on 11 carries. The Patriots had what was, by far, their worst showing of the season before their Week 11 bye week. Following the bye, I fully expect them to come out well rested and hungry to show that their poor showing in Nashville was a fluke. The bye week should also give Michel even more time to recover from the knee injury that kept him inactive for multiple weeks. Against the struggling Jets, he should look more like the running back that had four touchdowns and averaged over 100 yards per game in the three weeks prior to his injury. The Patriots will likely be playing with a lead, which could mean a large workload for Michel.
RB: Matt Breida ($6,400, SF @ TB)
Matt Breida looked to be healthy again as he put on a show against the Giants on Monday night in week 10. He showed off his burst and big play ability on his way to 132 total yards and two touchdowns. His 26.7 FanDuel points were his highest output of the year during a season where he has been continuously banged up. He has had a bye week to continue to heal and now visits Tampa Bay’s 28th ranked defense that just surrendered 34.2 FanDuel points to Saquon Barkley. Breida should be a focal point of the offense this week, resulting in solid production for his owners.
Additional Value Pick: Josh Adams ($5,700 NYG @ PHI) was a lone bright spot for the Eagles during their week 11 beating in New Orleans. Adams turned seven carries into 53 yards and the Eagles only touchdown for 14.7 FanDuel points. This week, the Giants poor rush defense visits Philadelphia which should result in much more opportunity and production for the undrafted rookie.
WR: Josh Gordon ($6,800, NE @ NYJ)
On a day that New England’s offense was about as bad as you will see it, Josh Gordon received 12 targets and had 81 receiving yards. He is quickly becoming a favorite target of Tom Brady, pair that with Gordon’s extreme talent and it is a great recipe for fantasy football success. Over the last four games, Gordon has accumulated 35 targets and turned them into 353 yards. He has scored double digit FanDuel points in three of those four contests and the bye week can only help him become more familiar with the Patriots offense. Gordon will likely see a fair share of targets, meaning he could put up big numbers in a game where the Patriots may want to make a statement.
WR: Tyler Boyd ($6,800, CLE @ CIN)
Tyler Boyd has been a pleasant surprise for the Cincinnati Bengals this season. The third-year receiver is ranked in the top 20 in most of the major receiving statistics this season and he has already surpassed his catch and yardage total from each of his first two seasons. Boyd and the Bengals welcome the 31st ranked defense of the Cleveland Browns to Paul Brown Stadium this week and the potential return of A.J. Green from a toe injury could take much of the defensive focus from Boyd. The Browns are allowing 288 yards per game through the air this season, which is a good sign for Andy Dalton, Tyler Boyd, and the Bengals passing game.
Additional Value Pick: Danny Amendola ($5,300, MIA @ IND) has 41 targets in his last five games and is averaging 11.4 FanDuel Points during that stretch. Injuries to the Dolphins receiving corps has left Amendola as one of the last men standing, which further increases his target share. Priced at $5,300 Amendola should provide very good return on investment this weekend in Indianapolis.
TE: Cameron Brate ($4,400, SF @ TB)
O.J. Howard has been added to the IR resulting in a big opportunity for Cameron Brate to flourish in the high output Buccaneers offense. Brate has shown over the years that he is a very talented pass catcher and valuable tight end, he now gets the opportunity to step back into a prominent role and put up solid numbers for his fantasy owners. Brate has three touchdowns on the season and that number could increase this weekend as the Bucs host the 49ers. If you are looking for a tight end with a small price tag, Brate is your man.
Additional Value Pick: Jared Cook ($5,700 OAK @ BAL) was my top value pick at tight end last week simply because of the lack of other receiving options. He turned in a solid performance resulting in 10.6 FanDuel points. Even though the Ravens are a very good defense, at times they struggle to guard tight ends, as they have given up 638 yards to the position on the season. Cook is still Derek Carr’s best option when looking for someone to throw the ball to, so he could have a solid weekend in Baltimore.
DEF: Bills ($4,000 vs JAC)
The Bills are the league’s second-best defense this season. This week the Jacksonville Jaguars come to town and Blake Bortles just produced one of his worst performances of an already awful season. He took six sacks, lost a fumble, and only passed for 104 yards. That is not good news for the Jags but is great news for the Bills top ranked pass defense. They will likely load up against the run and force Bortles to put the ball in the air which usually correlates to fantasy points for opposing defenses.
Additional Value Pick: Patriots ($4,100 @ NYJ) The Patriots are coming off of a putrid performance in their last game against the Titans. Following a bye week, Bill Belichick and the Patriots will be looking to right the ship and punish their division rivals. The Jets are 29th in total offense and will likely be playing from behind, giving the Pats defense ample opportunities for sacks and turnovers.
